Yard Operative

We are currently recruiting for forklift truck driver to work in our fast paced yard.

Shift times:

Monday to Friday 07:30 to 16:00, some Saturdays may be required as will flexibility with start and end times depending on loading.

Rates of pay will be discussed at interview and are dependent on age.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

Working as part of a team to achieve daily tasks.
To ensure that factory is clear of made products to ensure continuous production.
To ensure that the factory saw is stocked so that cutting does not stop.
to ensure that timber packs are correctly picked for our saw and also for loads leaving the factory.
To ensure that lorries are loaded/unloaded as appropriate.
To ensure that stock being delivered is put away in a timely fashion.
To ensure that working area is kept clean and tidy, and health & safety procedures adhered to at all times.
Must complete pre-start forklift checks at the start of shift, and ensure correct paperwork is filled out (check sheets), reporting any issues to the management immediately.
To complete weekly stocktakes within a set timeframe.

Job Types: Full-time, Temp to Perm.

Counterbalance FLT Ticket is required.

Combi/multidirectional FLT ticket would be an advantage, but training will be given to the right candidate if needed.

Experience loading Timber frame panels would be an advantage, but not necessary as full training will be given.
