Portsmouth SpCAMHS is excited to be recruiting a Team Manager to join their established and supportive team. This is a 12-month Maternity cover opportunity ending in August 2025.

Solent NHS Trust provides health services across both Southampton and Portsmouth cities. Within the portfolio of services offered within Solent NHS Trust we are proud to host a number of Children and Adolescent Mental Health Services. These services range from early intervention provided by MHST through to community crisis services and liaison.

Our Senior Leadership Team for Solent CAMHS compromises of Operational and Strategic Management, alongside Clinical Leadership to ensure a robust approach to developing, and, maintaining our services.

Solent CAMHS came together under a single service line in 2022, giving much opportunity for sharing of practice and aligning for equity where needed across Portsmouth and Southampton. We are proud of the commitment we have to children, young people and families and highly value our staff to support them in delivering they best they can to children and young people., In this role the successful candidate will work alongside Clinical Leads in overseeing the operational and strategic management of the Specialist CAMHS Team in Portsmouth City. Being an active member of the CAMHS Senior Leadership Team and holding responsibility for ensuring services align and integrate with other Children's services across Solent, Portsmouth local authority and other community providers including the voluntary sector., As a senior manager you will have a successful record of leading a team and delivering an innovative and high performing service to children, young people and families. You will be adept at balancing strategic and operational leadership of a service and being responsible for service delivery and development.

We have been working with other local NHS Trusts to create a new organisation, bringing together all community, mental health and learning disability services from across Hampshire and Isle of Wight. Subject to approvals, the aim is for the new Trust to be formed by July 2024.Project Fusion is the name for the programme to create the new combined NHS Foundation Trust. Hampshire and Isle of Wight Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust will be bringing the services into a single organisation will result in more consistent care, more equitable access to services irrespective of postcode, and a more sustainable workforce and services. The new organisation will operate locally to ensure services can best meet the needs of different communities.The new Trust will be comprised of all the services currently provided by Solent NHS Trust and Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust, the community, mental health and learning disability services provided by Isle of Wight NHS Trust and
child and adolescent mental health services delivered in parts of Hampshire by Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust.Colleagues will transfer to the new organisation under Transfer of Undertakings (Protection of Employment) -- known as TUPE on 1st July 2024. TUPE is a legal process to ensure you transfer out of one organisation and into another, maintaining the terms and conditions of your employment.
