The Bishop Wand Church of England School seeks to appoint an enthusiastic and innovative Teacher of Art and Photography. Additionally, the ability to teach Design & Technology within the Faculty would be welcomed. This position is suitable for both ECTs and experienced teachers.

The Art Department is a highly successful, popular department, and this is a fantastic opportunity to join our supportive Art teaching team in. Art is part of a fully resourced Computing, Art and Design & Technology Faculty.

The successful candidate will be required to plan, deliver and assess interesting and interactive lessons that will capture the students' attention and allow them to use their own imagination and creative ability. Our students enjoy access to two fully resourced art studios, a dark room, kiln, a wood and metal workshop, a fabric and textiles room, a CAD suite including 3D printers, vinyl cutter, laser cutter and a brand-new creative suite with 36 wide screen computers.

Our GCSE Art and Photography results have been consistently excellent, achieving some of the highest residuals in the School. The Art Department strongly values enriching the learning experience of our students and have fully embraced the new Brighter Futures programme, involving Art club, Bespoke Jewellery club and Fashion Design.
