Full Job Description

We are offering a range of apprenticeships relating to activity leadership, sports coaching and PE

Level 2 or 4 Sports Coach (18 months)

Immediate Employment

Kidz Zone Club and our sister company The Future Games specialise in working with Primary Schools to provide a range of services through physical and creative activities. Working with other 25 schools our services include PE lesson, before and after school clubs, lunchtime clubs and holiday activity clubs. Supporting TFG and partnership programme Kidz Zone Club, you will benefit from an exciting opportunity to gain valuable experience delivering over 20 activities working mainly with children from ages 4 - 12.

School Term time Hours

Monday to Friday:

30 hours per week Monday - Friday (39 weeks a year) shifts will vary but will total 30 hours - anything over 30 hours is paid as overtime

Morning activity clubs 7.30am - 8.30am

PE assisting morning or afternoons

After school clubs from 3.15pm - 4.45pm

Holiday Club hours 40 hours per week - overtime paid during holiday clubs

28 Days a year holiday including bank holidays

Roles and Responsibilities

· Organising and delivering community schools activity sessions to raise awareness of company and services we offer

· Delivering promotional assemblies at local schools

· Planning and delivering school sports focused lunchtime clubs

· Planning and delivering 'active' after school clubs.

. Assisting with the delivery of PE and learning to deliver High Quality Physical Education and School Sport

· Co-ordinating club events

· Planning and delivering holiday camp activities

· Assisting in the development of current services

· Support project staff to prepare for sessions and deliver the programme's activities

· Support project staff in monitoring and evaluating the success of the projects activities

· Adhere to employers and placement organisations Health and Safety, Child Protection and Equalities policies

· Complete various training courses

· Attend all work based sessions, meetings and training courses on time

· Adhere to their placement organisations policies around presentation, dress code and representing the organisation externally

· Passionate about Sport, physical and creative activities

· Desire to work in sports coaching and activity leadership

· Ability to lead a club on their own

· An understanding of activities and young people

· Passionate about childcare

· Self-motivated to learn and improve

· Good communication skills and ability to relate to other people

· Ability to engage young people positively

· To be able to adapt to different challenges in a positive way

· Willingness to travel to and from sessions on a daily basis,

  • GCSE or equivalent (preferred), Sports coaching: 1 year (preferred)

    · Keep abreast of developments in services and legislation for young people relevant to the tasks and responsibilities


  • · Seek to improve his/her own performance, contribution, knowledge, and skills and participate in training and developmental activities as required

    · Ensure the implementation the Diversity and Equality policy statement

    · Comply with Health and Safety policies and procedures
