Solar Installer

The ideal candidate for this position should have experience in the solar industry, but we're also looking for individuals who are eager to learn and develop the necessary skills to become successful Solar Installers. Responsibilities include assembling, installing, and maintaining solar photovoltaic (PV) systems according to site assessments and schematics. This involves tasks such as measuring, cutting, assembling, and bolting structural framing and solar modules, as well as performing minor electrical work. Additionally, duties encompass laying out assembly and installation of solar arrays and mounting hardware, assisting with electrical wiring, and handling the lifting, loading/unloading, and movement of solar panels and materials to installation sites. Ensuring exceptional customer experience is essential throughout the process, including maintaining cleanliness and tidiness on-site, clearing debris, and disposing of waste properly following established procedures.

· Ability to safely manage tools and materials such as ladders, inverters, solar panels, panel boards, batteries.

· Ability to perform physically demanding duties, including lifting (up to 50lbs.), bending and standing for extended periods of time.

· Diligence and a commitment to delivering the highest quality service to the customer.

· An interest in renewable energy and pursuing a career in this growing sector is also a distinct advantage.

· Be willing to work away from home during the week.

Experience

· UK Driving Licence (essential) - No more than 6 points.

· Valid CSCS (preferred)

· SSSTS/SMSTS (preferred)

· First Aid at work (preferred)

· IPAF (preferred)

· PASMA (preferred)

· Working at Heights (preferred)

· Asbestos Awareness (preferred)

· Manual Handling (preferred)

· Pay based on age/experience (salary from £26,000 - £40,000 per year)

· Normal working pattern Monday to Friday but weekend work may occasionally be required.

· Overnight stays will be required depending on location of work and will include an overnight allowance.

· 28 Days Holiday (Inclusive of Bank Holidays) + an extra day for your Birthday.
