Full Job Description

They work in a range of sectors including commercial, residential, health and transport.

It will be working on multiple contracts throughout East Anglia. covering range of projects from complex civil engineering schemes through to new build housing, educational facilities, commercial buildings, or refurbishment projects. As the Small Works Manager, you will be required to quote, manage, and deliver small works of the value £20K to £1m.,

  • Collaborating with the client to define the scope of small works.

  • Ensuring timely, budget-friendly, and quality delivery of all Small Works while adhering to regulatory standards.

  • Proactively identifying and mitigating risks associated with the small works.

  • Maintaining effective communication with all stakeholders, particularly the client.

  • Monitoring financial aspects of small works to ensure adherence to budget.

  • Participating in relevant meetings, on-site or in offices, and documenting key points.

  • Overseeing all deliverables according to the Small Works plan.

  • Recording and addressing any issues, escalating where necessary.

  • Resolving interdepartmental issues at the small works level.

  • Managing small works scope and implementing controlled changes.

  • Monitoring and reporting on the progress and performance of small works.

  • Demonstrating knowledge and compliance with CDM regulations.

  • Possessing a strong understanding of Health & Safety principles and best practices.

    Ideally come from a trades background with experience working in building services contracting.

  • A team player with a high level of self-motivation and organisational ability.

  • Relevant operational experience of leading and managing diverse teams.

  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to understand the key financial, labour and material variables within budgets.

  • Ability to build positive relationships with clients and stakeholders to resolve day to day operational needs and identify opportunities for increasing the level of profitable business.

  • Competent in the use of computers and data handling including Microsoft Office systems.
