You'll work collaboratively with a variety of teams across the organisation to lead the management and development of our SharePoint applications and sites, ensuring a high standard of development across all our SharePoint assets.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Manage UKCEH's Sharepoint environment and maintain availability and response times

  • Lead in the technical development and maintenance of the SharePoint instance, including requirements gathering and developing appropriate solutions using Microsoft 365 SharePoint and the rest of the Microsoft 365 product set

  • Design and develop solutions using the Microsoft SharePoint Online platform, ensuring that all solutions are tested as appropriate for quality and performance.

  • The design and development of Pages, Forms, Web Parts and Workflow to aid business processes built into the enterprise wide SharePoint platform.

  • Proactively look at ways to improve development processes, software and systems.

  • Effectively communicate with the team and business customers to ensure that the SharePoint platform is effective for the business.

  • Ensure that standards/processes are followed and write relevant documentation to support the SharePoint Platform.

  • Ability to work as part of a team providing input to solution design and estimation

  • Troubleshooting Sharepoint issues and functionality

  • Providing systems training to staff and customers

  • Take ownership of and solve more complex technical problems and issues within own specialty

    As UKCEH's SharePoint Developer/Manager it's key you bring experience in an IT technology-based role, have excellent communication, strong web skills, an ability to understand business requirements and identify the most appropriate solution for our needs.

  • For the role of SharePoint Developer/Manager, we're looking for somebody who has:
  • Demonstratable experience as a SharePoint Developer

  • Hands on experience of Sharepoint Online (M365), Power platform (including Power Automate and Power apps), HTML, JavaScript, ASPX/ASP .

  • SharePoint design and development experience including but not limited to web parts, workflow and customised forms.

  • Understanding of PowerShell/Json to automate and format data.

    Salary - £45,065 to £47,823

  • Hybrid working (50/50)
    Permanent, full-time (37 hours)
