Senior Data Analyst

Working in a dynamic team you will use your data analysis skills and subject matter expertise to provide analytics, business intelligence and insights to help drive understanding and improvement across the organisation. You will help us to deliver a robust and integrated approach to turn data into action. Your work will ensure that a critical part of the national health infrastructure continues to deliver its vital services for patients. As a Data Analysis expert, you will excel at problem solving, have a passionate interest in delivering thought provoking, clear and innovative analysis and analytics. With an inquisitive mindset, data storytelling must be at the heart of everything you do. As a manager you will manage a team of analysts, helping them deliver, develop, and achieve. You will undertake an extensive induction and training programme and receive ongoing development to support you in your role and in achieving your future career ambitions., Supporting the Head of the Analytics team in the relevant area in providing highly complex data analysis and analytics to support a specific part of the organisation and NHSBT more widely. Developing, enhancing, maintaining, and publishing a range of analysis, and analytics. Ensuring compliance with data protection and information governance legislation and organisational policies. Managing the workload and delivery of other analysts, monitoring performance in line with NHSBT and departmental policies and processes. Producing detailed analysis, data and reports as part of scheduled work and in response to ad hoc requests, including under the Freedom of Information Act. Extracting, integrating, and interrogating data from a variety of source systems using industry standard tools, such as MS-SQL, PowerBI and MS Excel. Supporting organisation change projects, operations, and programmes by designing, building and publishing specific data sets, dashboards and visualisations. Acting as a
subject matter expert for NHSBT data analysis and interpretation of the data, providing professional support, advice, recommendations, and solutions to complex problems. You will be required to travel and spend time away from base, which will involve working irregular hours and overnight stays when required, with prior notice.
