Full Job Description

As a Senior Content Marketing Manager, you will own the entire content production lifecycle for the myTribe website and social media, reporting to the Managing Director. You'll build a content strategy and then working with internal resources and external copywriters, deliver it to the highest standards.

A significant proportion of this role will be copyediting, and you'll be required to oversee and edit almost all the written content produced in the business, keeping a consistent style and checking that work is compliant with financial services regulations while being helpful and easy for people to understand.

The opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity to support the company directors in their objective of providing high-quality information to the public about private healthcare and insurance services in the UK. You'll join the team at a pivotal stage of the company's development and will play a key role in the next phase of the company's growth.

Being part of a small team and reporting to the Managing Director means that your ideas will be heard, decisions can be made swiftly, and good ideas will be actioned promptly.

We work from a modern and friendly central Bournemouth office space, with fresh fruit, snacks and a selection of drinks provided free of charge every day.

Responsibilities include:

  • Develop and implement content strategies to meet company objectives

  • Creating content on a daily basis in a variety of formats from guides and articles to advertisements and email newsletters.

  • Manging external copywriters, briefing them, editing their work, and feeding back to them when required.

  • Ensuring we follow SEO best practices when developing digital content.

  • Ensure that content is grammatically correct, well-structured, and free of spelling errors

  • Manage social media platforms and engage with the audience

  • Lead email marketing campaigns to nurture leads and drive conversions

  • Supporting the Managing Director with press relations, including writing up our independent research.

  • Being the designated "words" experts, always happy to help others in the business with writing and editing.

  • Owning the content production lifecycle, finding efficiencies and ways to improve processes.

  • Monitoring performance of web pages, identifying out of date content, or pages which need updating due to loss of positions / visitors.

    To succeed in this role, you will have all of the following skills, demonstrable via recent experience:

  • Strong command of the English language with exceptional writing and communication skills

  • Proficient in copy editing, proofreading, and word processing software

  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to spot errors in written content

  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

  • Extensive experience writing for healthcare or insurance brands

  • Able to multi-task and work quickly and accurately


  • Technical skills:
  • Excellent computer skills using Microsoft 365

  • Experience using project management tools (e.g. Asana, Trello, Monday, etc)

  • Familiarity using content management systems and analytics tools

  • Good understanding of SEO for content marketing. Experience using SEO tools (e.g. Ahrefs, SEMrush).

  • The ability to keep abreast of content marketing and healthcare / insurance industry trends.

  • Strong organisation & project management skills.

  • Ability to work independently and with remote teams. Self-starter / self-motivated.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills., Copywriting: 5 years (required)

  • Private Healthcare: 3 years (preferred)

  • Private Health Insurnace: 3 years (preferred)

  • Content marketing: 3 years (preferred)
