Nightingale Primary School

Interested in joining the team working to create the brightest and best school in London? We offer staff a dynamic and exciting place to work enabling them to teach with creativity and brilliance.

Nightingale Primary is expanding from September 2024 to become a two form entry school. We are therefore recruiting to our team of Learning Support Assistants who work across mainstream classes and also our Additionally Resourced Provision (ARP) for autism.

We recognise that our Learning Support Assistants are integral to the progress achieved by our pupils with additional needs. They personalise and adapt learning to meet the strengths and needs of our pupils and provide specialist care where required. Importantly, they support our school's ethos of ensuring children are happy, safe and learning. Specialist facilities at our school include a dance/drama studio, a beautiful well-stocked library with views over Hackney Downs Park, bespoke art and cookery teaching rooms, a climbing wall as well as state-of-the-art, comfortable classrooms. We encourage all of our Learning Support Assistants to use these facilities to enrich the learning of pupils in their care.

We are looking to recruit, for September 2024, enthusiastic and skilled Learning Support Assistants for all Key Stages who can support our children to achieve their full potential. We encourage all potential candidates to book in with the Headteacher for an online visit or in-person tour of the school / informal chat prior to application.

We foster curiosity, creativity, collaboration, drive and bravery as our core values in both our staff and our students. We believe that hiring and retaining the best Learning Support Assistants who embody those characteristics are a prerequisite to high achievement from happy children who feel safe and supported. We take care to create a friendly, stimulating, team-oriented work environment. While our staff work hard, the Nightingale style is supportive, warm and welcoming. Feel free to arrange a visit to see the Nightingale difference for yourself.

We are committed to safeguarding and this role will be subject to an enhanced DBS.

Our mission is to welcome everyone and create an inclusive team. Our policy is to recruit a diverse workforce and follow the Equality Act 2010.
