Full Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated, ambitious and qualified roofer. To successfully deliver the day-to-day repairs service. You will work alongside a roofer's mate to deliver a high quality, value for money service to the MOD. You will provide front line delivery to the MOD family's. Working to deliver highest quality Right First-Time service and to carry out technical services task. Working efficiently and safety in line with our perfect delivery ethos to achieve excellent customer services.

Within this role you will;

  • Carry out roofing repairs to a variety of building services alongside a qualified roofer and demonstrate their competence to undertake a wide variety of roofing repairs

  • Be involved with refurbishment, planned and reactive maintenance.


  • What you'll need to do this role
  • You will be committed to delivering excellent customer service whilst maintaining a high level of quality and accuracy.

  • NVQ level 2 qualification in Administration, a related discipline or equivalent experience such as demonstrable practical experience

  • Developed IT skills (e.g. Excel, Word etc.)

  • Work with minimal supervision and have the ability to make decisions on the most appropriate repair solution.

  • Complete and finalise projects to a high standard and have the ability to self-snag works on completion

  • To undertake a continual programme of risk assessment in relation to your role

  • Preform complex planning of large jobs

  • Cut openings in structure to accommodate pipes and pipe fittings, using hand and power tools

  • Provide exceptional maintenance service to our high-profile client and go the extra mile to deliver to the highest quality standard in all building areas

  • Undertake patch plastering works, tiling, floor laying, decorating replacing of internal and external doors

  • Attend training as and when required to continue your development in the role and comply with changes within the industry.

  • Attend team briefs, Toolbox talks and technical bulletins on a monthly bases or as when required.

  • Utilise both electronic and paper-based systems to accurately record documentation including the use of materials against each job.

  • To demonstrate VIVO core values to internal and external customers and colleagues

  • To mentor apprentices as and when required

  • Liaise with Family's, clients and members of VIVO supply chain

  • Maintain van stocks and provide information enabling the improvements of Right first-time fixes.

  • Ensure all H&S documentation (RAMS) are present prior to engaging the task

  • Be flexible and willing to work shift patterns to cover the appointments

  • Cover out of hours on a rota



  • Full UK Driving Licence

  • NVQ or equivalent in construction and roofing

  • Previous experience across a range of roofing styles.


  • You must be able to pass BPSS Clearance to be considered for this role.
