Production Manager

· Reports to the General Manager

2. Roles and Responsibilities

· Ensuring that the production processes are in line with regulatory requirements

· Completing all necessary documentation for regulatory compliance

· Ensuring that processes are executed in accordance with QMS requirements

· Ensuring best practice for health and safety are implemented and maintained within the production team

· Communication of expectations to production team members and reviewing their performance

· Implementing applicable emergency procedures

· Maintaining and presenting production KPI's

· Reporting on production and providing customers with progress updates

· Managing the repair or replacement of faulty production equipment

· Ensuring all resources and equipment are used efficiently and correctly

· Managing training of operators

· Ensuring that raw materials and consumables are available for manufacturing

· Manage sub-contract activities

· Foundry and / or manufacturing experience is required

· Strong communication skills to listen to stakeholders, and to clearly deliver ideas and action plans

· Excellent organisational skills in order to plan production schedules and ensure that necessary materials and equipment is available

· Strong analysis skills to identify problems and take appropriate corrective actions

· Good time-management skills to minimise downtime and ensure the production team works efficiently

· The ability to cope with pressure and make sound decisions quickly

· A firm understanding of health and safety regulations

· Strong change management skills
