Product Support Manager

To help us get there, we are looking for a Product Support Manager to be responsible for leading a group of technologists, accountable for providing direct R&D support, mentorship and expertise to ensure launched products continue to meet established user needs and maintain design integrity, quality and align with changing regulatory requirements and compliance standards.
What will you be doing?

• Lead and develop the performance of a team of technologists whilst driving team performance through continuous improvement activities, coaching and mentoring.


• Owning the delivery of updated design control documentation and coordination of technical data generation, analysis and its quality for products across the Wound business either for compliance or market support.


• Accountable for establishing, prioritising and delivering design related programme for product support and sustaining projects and provision of product knowledge and specialised testing, within the agreed time, cost and quality constraints.


• Provide direct support to the commercial team by providing product technical expertise and advice by handling and delivering a programme of commercial testing and claims extension programmes to enable sales plan delivery, within agreed SLAs.


• Change control and support for NPD market roll out and established products into new geographies.


• Lead R&D activities needed to support Operations, RA and QA teams within the 1st year of a product launch.


• Own design history files, managing updates and auditing documentation to ensure continuous compliance and support all product changes touching design control.


• Prioritise and own the Hull R&D support activities whilst maintaining compliance with new and amended regulations e.g. UDI, MDR etc. for the current portfolio of launched products.
  
  Our successful candidate will be educated in a relevant science or engineering subject area, as well as having a strong working background in a cross functional leadership and team management role, within an NPD, Operational or Medical Devices.

They will have experience in handling all aspects of project management, including resource planning in a fast paced, medical device industry with a strong understanding of manufacturing processes and S+N products including testing methodology, e.g. adhesives, films
