Plumber

We are seeking an energetic and driven Plumber to join our team at a HMP Dartmoor, a Category C Adult Male prison located in Princetown, high on Dartmoor in Devon.

HMP Dartmoor runs like a self-contained city, it takes hundreds of people to keep it functioning, and as the Facilities Maintenance Team we are committed and driving the smooth and safe operation, like a heart that pumps blood through the body, everything we do impacts every prisoner, employee, and visitor, and wider to the families and community.

As a Plumber, you will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced and passionate colleagues who vary from Plumbers, Electricians, Carpenters, Painters, to Cleaners, and Administrators, and others, who are all dedicated to making a positive difference, providing a safe and secure environment for all.

Plumber qualifications to C&G 6035 (Plumbing), C&G 6189 (Plumbing & Heating) and NVQ Lvl 3 in Plumbing
- Commercial maintenance and installation experience
- Familiarity with, and ability to work to Water Supply Regulations and Control of Legionalla L8 requirements
- Experience of reactive maintenance, fault finding and resolution, installations, testing and commissioning

An honest and conscientious character, with an ability to approach challenges in a calm manner and a positive attitude
- Availability to work 39 hours per week, Monday to Friday
