Full Job Description

Reporting to the Operations Control Duty Manager, the Operations Control Supervisor is responsible for providing the Operations Control Team with training and continuous development by conducting assessments, one-to-one meetings and arranging other training courses as required. In addition, you will maintain current procedures throughout the team and where necessary create new documentation in accordance with Company and third-party standards and legislation.

The Operations Control Centre (OCC) operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. This role will work across a rostered shift pattern that includes night shifts.

What will you do in the role?

The Operations Control Supervisor will provide a proactive approach to the daily supervision of the flying programme with particular attention to weather, aircraft serviceability, crewing status and other potential issues that may have an adverse impact. This role plays a vital role in the achievement of Jet2.com's 'On Time Performance' targets. You will also:

  • Developing effective communication channels with internal and external customers, you will implement timely and appropriate recovery actions to maintain the programme stability and minimise delays

  • You will deputise for the Operations Control Duty Manager and will be responsible for providing leadership and support to the Operations Team ensuring a consistent and safe delivery of the daily flying programme

  • Accuracy of information communicated and recorded is of the highest in this role, ensuring that all flight information, flight reports and statistics are up to date in the flight management system

    The successful candidate will have a previous experience working within an airline operations environment and ideally have supervisory and leadership experience. In addition, you will also:

  • Have excellent organisational skills with a methodical and considered approach to problem solving

  • Must be able to demonstrate an understanding of the importance of 'On Time Performance' with experience of working under your own initiative and under considerable pressure
