Multi Skilled Labourer

We are currently hiring multi skilled labourers to assist with our installations in Essex, Suffolk, Cambridgeshire, East London, and surrounding areas. We are looking for persons at all levels of experience for all aspects of our installations. Full training will be provided for the right candidates, ideally located in the Colchester area. We offer variety of work, throughout renewable energy sector installations and energy efficiency measures. You will learn what we do to improve energy efficiency at our customer's homes, and reduce their energy bills and CO2 footprint. We work with many new technologies and pride ourselves in providing modern solutions to poorly insulated, cold and droughty homes.

As an installer, you will be responsible for:

• Assisting with variety of installations throughout the energy efficiency and renewable systems


• Working from heights


• Working outdoors


• Some heavy lifting required


• Providing an excellent level of customer service
  
  Some experience with general building trades: roofing, carpentry, plastering, but also basic plumbing and electrical. No specific qualifications required and full training will be provided.


• Experience working at heights (desired)


• Some flexibility to work out of hours, weekends and working away


• Full UK driving license (desired)
  
  At Alternative Heating Solutions we offer our customers a variety of energy efficiency improvements and renewable energy installations. These include external wall insulation systems, loft and floor insulation, and also solar PV, solar thermal, air source heat pumps, underfloor heating, and infrared heating installations.
  
  Pay: £11-15/hour depending on experience (self-employed basis: valid UTR required for CIS deductions)


• Full training in the installation of a variety of energy efficiency measures and renewable technologies


• Company transport: we are meeting at the yard in Colchester town centre and leave to sites in a company van


• Excellent work culture and ethics in a great team of tradesmen


Schedule:

• Day shift


• Monday to Friday


• Weekend availability (rarely)
