Maintenance Plumber Mechanical

This Post is to join part of the mechanical plumbing maintenance Team of Kettering General Hospital who provides maintenance services, both planned and reactive, for the properties belonging to the Hospital
The Post Holder is expected to provide a comprehensive repair and maintenance service for Plumbing and Mechanical Engineering systems and installations in all buildings occupied and operated by the Hospital., The post holder will carry out necessary plumbing maintenance tasks to ensure the safe and continuous operation of the Mechanical engineering services and the building plant located in the Trust.
The post holder will undertake specific maintenance tasks and will carry out maintenance and repairs across a wide range of interconnected highly complex plant and equipment, reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor/Estates Operational Officer.
The post holder will be working to established plumbing engineering procedures, good practice, organisational and broad occupation policies. Often working to measured standards and procedures which require specific training; in first line response situations the post holder will need to establish how such policies can be implemented.
The post holder will become part of the out of hours on-call team working on a rota after a probationary period., Applications will be transferred to TRAC system, by completing an application your are giving authorisation for the transfer of your data.

In submitting an application form, you authorise Kettering General Hospital (KGH) NHS Foundation Trust to confirm any previous NHS service details via the Electronic Staff Record (ESR) Inter Authority Transfer (IAT) process. Including factual reference, occupational health clearance and statutory and mandatory training record.
If you need to have a Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) check, as a requirement of the role, you will be required to repay the cost of obtaining a DBS check (£50) and this amount will be reclaimed from your first salary. From 1st February 2019 all new starters to the Trust are required to join the DBS update service as per Trust DBS Re-checking Policy which has an annual cost of £13. New employees who do not join the update service will be required to pay £50 for a new DBS check in 3 years time.
Please note that news starters with KGH are subject to a six month probationary period.
