Full Job Description

Are you a Java Developer looking for a new challenge? Do you understand the Scrum Framework? Are you someone that understands the delivery lifecycle?,

  • Develop, support and maintain our main Specialist General Insurance Platform

  • Working with Platform Architect, System Analysts and Product Owners to produce systems designs and specifications

  • Participate in continuous improvement reviews through Sprint retrospectives. Identify and lead opportunities to improve current methods, practices and processes

  • Working in collaboration with the wider systems development and system test teams to ensure successful completion and deployment of changes

  • Work in the Scrum Framework, and proactively seek new ways of working

    Experience of developing enterprise scale Java applications (Java 11+)

  • Ability to write Automated tests

  • Understanding of relational databases

  • Knowledge of JavaScript Frameworks

  • Experience with Git, Git Flow and BitBucket Version Control

  • Knowledge of working with Jenkins pipelines

  • The ability to engage and co-operate in productive working relationships

  • Understanding of software design and software architecture principles
