Full Job Description

  • Day to day Service availability and maintenance of all IT Infrastructure services. Premise and Cloud Hosted.

  • Managing the deliverables of the IT Infrastructure team.

  • Evaluating services, planning, and managing their improvement.

  • Training and development of direct reports.

  • Upkeep of Comms rooms and services securing their power.

  • Oversee that all activities are in accordance with Business process.

  • Manage costs associated to all, specifically cloud solutions.

  • Non-disclosure of certain information shared in confidence. In accordance with role or as being part of a Strategic business delivery Project.

  • Working effectively and efficiently with internal colleagues, consultants and third parties.

  • Overseeing associated security services. (Firewalls/ Pen testing/ compliance updates etc.)

  • Be an active member of the Security board.

  • Planning and running team meetings and workshops.

  • Oversee that all new and updated services are tested sufficiently.

  • Ensure that solutions and services are suitably documented and kept updated.

  • Participating in and being an escalation point of Out of Hours support.


  • Ensuring that Infrastructure cover is always available, Shift & Out of hours Rota.


  • Undertake all activities in line with Company Health, Safety, and Environmental policies and procedures and participate in the development of a safe and healthy workplace.

  • Professional IT qualifications in IT Infrastructure fields with significant IT work experience as an IT Engineer/ Administrator. IT Team leadership experience or suitable management training/ certifications.

  • Academic achievement/s to at least A Level standard. Degree level preferential.

  • Full UK Driving license
