Full Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Infrastructure Engineer to join our well-established team. As an Infrastructure Engineer, you will play a crucial role in building, implementing, and maintaining secure IT environments. Your responsibilities will encompass ensuring the availability, reliability, and security of critical infrastructure components, including servers, networks, storage systems, and virtualisation technologies. Your expertise will be instrumental in supporting the organisation's needs through effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.,

  • Design, implement, and support robust infrastructure solutions, covering server hardware, network devices, storage systems, and virtualisation technologies.

  • Install, configure, and maintain server operating systems, network protocols, and storage management systems to guarantee seamless operations.

  • Proactively identify and troubleshoot infrastructure-related issues, such as network connectivity, server failures, and performance bottlenecks, to maintain peak performance.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish technology standards and best practices, ensuring consistent and efficient implementation across the organisation.

  • Implement comprehensive system backup and disaster recovery plans to safeguard data integrity and ensure business continuity.

  • Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends, evaluating their potential benefits for the organisation's IT infrastructure.

  • Provide technical guidance and responsive support to end-users, addressing IT infrastructure-related inquiries and resolving issues promptly.

  • Develop and execute effective backup strategies to ensure data integrity and availability in the event of system failures or disasters.

  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of system configurations, procedures, and infrastructure changes in the form of Low-Level Designs (LLDs).

    Preferred Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Equivalent knowledge and experience will also be considered.

  • Proven experience as an Infrastructure Engineer or a similar role, demonstrating proficiency in the following areas: In-depth knowledge of server hardware, network protocols, and storage technologies.

  • Strong understanding of virtualisation technologies, such as VMware or Hyper-V.

  • Experience with network security practices, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and access controls. Knowledge of NSX would be beneficial.

  • Hands-on experience with various services/applications like Exchange, SharePoint, Skype, O365, Active Directory, WSUS.

  • Proficiency in configuring and managing Windows and Linux server environments.


  • Familiarity with cloud computing platforms, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills to effectively address complex infrastructure challenges.

  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities to work efficiently within a team environment.

  • Certifications in relevant technologies, such as CCNA, MCSA, or VCP, would be advantageous.
