Full Job Description

Looking for a challenging and varied role in highways maintenance? Due to continued growth, NY Highways are looking to welcome a highly Skilled Craftsperson to support our operations from our Area 6 Boroughbridge Depot.

"Bringing innovative solutions to the roads of North Yorkshire and beyond"

In this dynamic role you can expect to bring your expertise in stonemasonry, bricklaying, resurfacing, and road marking to the table. From kerbing and basic drainage to more specialised tasks like installing street furniture and modular paving, you'll tackle a diverse range of highway projects.

Beyond your technical skills, you'll also have a keen eye for detail, ensuring that works are completed to the highest standard and in line with scheduled programs.

With a commitment to safety and a willingness to participate in out-of-hours duties and emergency response, you'll be an essential part of our team dedicated to maintaining our roadways to the highest standards.

While experience in the following areas is beneficial, we encourage candidates with a mix of qualifications to apply:

· Banksman

· Manual Handling

· Abrasive wheels

· Emergency First Aid

· Safe Dig

· Traffic Management TM1 and TM2

NY Highways provides highways services across North Yorkshire and the surrounding areas. From road maintenance to street lighting and road signs and pavement repairs, we operate in close partnership with North Yorkshire Council combining a commercial focus with public sector values including delivering highway civil engineering & infrastructure projects.
