Full Job Description
- Ensure that the DCWW fleet is maintained in line with MOT / VOSA standards
- Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with our Business Management system
- Support the performance of the team by working in a professional and efficient way
- Ensure that all aspects of vehicle and plant maintenance are completed, including paperwork and job card / record keeping
- Support the team in achieving safety, performance and budget targets
- Respond to customer requests and requirements as necessary
- Carry out the routine servicing of vehicles in line with manufacturers standards
- Repair and maintain vehicles and plant in a safe and roadworthy condition and in line with MOT / VOSA standards
- Maintain all workshop records in accordance with BMS procedures
- Carry out repairs and servicing to industry standard times
- Assist in achieving business plan targets
- Carry out all work in accordance with the company's Health And Safety policy and systems
- Transport Services team
- Vehicle users / internal customers
- All other internal functions as required
- Suppliers
- Service providers such as MOT stations
- Other external agents, including customers, as required
We will consider applicants with Light Commercial Technician experience only but heavy goods experience is preferable - Full UK Driving Licence (HGV desirable but can be trained otherwise)
- Experienced in maintaining LGV's to VOSA standards
- A good knowledge of health and safety requirements in vehicle maintenance
- Excellent communication skills
