Full Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for the right individual to make a real contribution to the performance reporting and transformation of Health and Adult Social Care and also across the Council. The varied role will also cover aspects of Public Health such as population, lifestyles, inequalities, physical & mental health and wellbeing and the use of health and social care services. You'll join us as a Data Analyst within the Data, Intelligence and Insight team working directly with other data professionals in a central team supporting a range of council services.

We are looking for someone with experience of working in a technical, performance management role with excellent numerical, research and analytical skills. You will be expected to support submission of statutory returns and create, amend, and validate complex data using Microsoft SQL (T-SQL), Power BI and Advanced Excel functionality. Experience of Git and/or GitHub would also be an advantage, as well as experience of submitting Adult Social Care or other statutory returns and/or formal data submissions.

The council has recently adopted a new Data Strategy and has implemented a new Client Case Management System (Care Director), so this is an excellent opportunity for someone who is keen to influence and continue to develop the future reporting infrastructure for health and social care in Southampton, and ensure data is used to drive decision making.

This is a hybrid role with opportunities to work flexibly from home and well as in the office. If you feel you have the necessary background, experience, and skills to undertake this role we would like to hear from you.
