Full Job Description

To have overall responsibility for the management and continuous improvement of:

Finance

  • Maintain financial control and provide details to the Advanex Europe (AEU) board

  • Monitor business performance

  • Monitor and manage cash flow, including foreign exchange

  • Ensure External and Group compliance is timely and adhered to, e.g. VAT, HMRC, returns, J-Sox reviews

  • Prepare management accounts in line with Group's timetable

  • Prepare year-end financial statements for statutory audit

  • Maintain working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, e.g. external auditors and Group

  • Develop financial models

  • Maintain and manage costings for AEU.


  • Management
  • Responsible for the management of the Finance department across AEU

  • Use internal and external resources where appropriate.


  • Reporting
  • Prepare management accounts for Group and External body reporting

  • Create a departmental roadmap designed to meet objectives and update monthly

  • Manage and report on KPIs associated with role.


  • To perform the role in line with:
  • Advanex Strategic Framework

  • Advanex Strategic Roadmap objectives

  • Key Performance Indicators/Performance Indicators

  • The displaying of Advanex Core Values, through behaviours and professionalism.


  • All roles and responsibilities to be carried out in accordance with the Quality Management System (Work Instructions, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and Good Documentation Practices (GDP)), good housekeeping, and departmental and company procedures.,
  • To take responsible care for yourself and others during work activities in accordance with the Health and Safety at Work regulations - either correcting or notifying a team member of the management team of any unsafe working practices.

  • To strive to maintain quality in line with the Company management systems and procedures - alerting a member of the management team of any issue of quality and risk.

  • To ensure that production and manufacturing schedules are in line with Company energy targets - being aware of own responsibilities to save energy and power consumption and alerting a member of the management team where potential negative impact is caused by working practices.

  • To assist Production Managers, Heads of Department, and Leaders in promoting a positive and proactive Health and Safety culture.

  • In accordance with the management of Health & Safety at Work regulations and other relevant Health & Safety legislation, you have a duty to take responsible care to yourself and to others who may be affected by your work activities.

  • Shall correctly use all work items provided in accordance with training and instructions received.

  • Shall cooperate with others to enable compliance with statutory duties for Health & Safety.

  • Assist in maintaining a safe working environment for yourself, colleagues, and others by ensuring all areas are free from hazardous obstructions.

  • To ensure that any work situation which may present a serious and imminent danger is reported immediately to a director/manager/Health & Safety representative.

  • To either correct or notify management of any unsafe working practices and of any person behaving in an unsafe manner.

  • To be aware of any responsibilities as laid down in Company Health & Safety Policy and relevant risk assessments.

  • Desirable
  • Degree in a relevant subject or equivalent

  • Leadership and management qualification

  • Previous experience working in a manufacturing/engineering environment

  • Experience in change, performance management, organisational development

  • Experience using EFACS ERP system or similar.

    The purpose of this role is to provide financial management, corporate and treasury accounting and internal controls to support business needs. The postholder will develop and manage all aspects for the strategy and fulfilment of KPI.

  • Permanent

  • Dual site (Based in Southwell site with occasional travel to Bilborough site)

  • £ dependent on experience

  • 37.5hrs/week (Mon-Thurs = 8hrs + 1/2hr unpaid lunch; Fri = 5.5hrs, no lunch)

  • Hours - start time 8am (with some flexibility on start/end times)
