Full Job Description

We are looking for a Temporary Full Time Estates Optimisation Project Manager based in our headquarters in Chelmsford, Essex on a 12 month contract.

Are you an organised individual with excellent numeracy and literacy skills, who is computer literate, able to learn new systems quickly and able to work with minimum supervision? Good communication and inter-personal skills are also required., Applicants will be asked to share examples of proactive behaviour, teamwork and problem-solving at interviews.

  • Administration of all estate property holdings, leases and lettings.

  • Undertake estates role/lead on acquisitions and disposals (freehold and leasehold).

  • To manage the disposal of estates assets.


  • This post is for 37 hours per week. This position attracts a current salary of £35,290 p.a. pro rata plus lots of additional benefits.

  • East Anglia Reserve Forces and Cadets Association (RFCA) is an arms-length public body of the Ministry of Defence, mandated to give advice to the Defence Council, manage the Reserve Forces' and Cadets' estate, deliver community and employer engagement for Defence, and provide administration services to the Army Cadet Force.

    The Estates team manage an impressive portfolio of around 200 Reserve Forces and Cadet sites across East Anglia and in addition to providing the management and upkeep of the estate, handle the acquisition and disposal of land and buildings, and adapt homes for injured service personnel.
