Full Job Description

You'll be joining our Trading and Analytics Team where you'll collaborate with seasoned traders and energy market analysts, leveraging their expertise to optimise our trading strategies. You'll receive detailed feedback to fuel your personal growth in order to help you bring improvements in our team's performance. Your role will be primarily focused on producing market analysis to help the Trading team stay one step ahead of our competitors.

What will I spend my day on at Noriker?

  • Analyse UK energy markets relevant to battery storage assets and provide interpretation of the results to maximise the team performance

  • Devise and improve our trading strategy in daily services auctions of our battery storage capacity

  • Build up extensive knowledge of the GB power market and National Grid balancing services and share findings regularly within the team

  • Contribute to the continuous development of in-house Trading software and IT infrastructure such as advanced forecasting techniques

  • Track competitors' activities to assess their impact on our company's position and strategy

    Bachelor's degree in STEM, Economics, Data Science or a similar field

  • Minimum one year experience in an Analyst role in power industry, with a proven track record of analysing energy data, extracting meaningful insights and effectively communicating this to diverse audiences

  • Motivated to develop a high-level of expertise in energy markets including electricity pricing, hedging, and risk management strategies

  • Proficiency in data and statistical analysis tools such as spreadsheets, databases and/or Python

  • Flexibility with your working hours

    What is our interview process?

  • If there's a match, we'll invite you for a 30 min screening call to allow us to get to know each other better

  • The next stage is an in-person interview with a leader from the Trading and Analytics team and Senior management, we may ask you to prepare something for this one too

  • We'll try and get all of this done within 3 weeks
