Data Analyst

The Data Analyst role will work closely with stakeholders to help identify reporting and analysis needs. Candidate will be working on using data to frame, scale, visualize and find solutions.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Work with solution architects and data engineers to obtain a greater understanding of the needs of the business and the types of analysis that supports business goals.


• Responsible for the day-to-day management of operations data, including gathering, summarizing, and analyzing data necessary to gain business insights, Conducting full lifecycle of analysis and establish best practices.


• Data Analyst will assist with the maintenance of daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly business reporting functions.


• Identifying, analysing, and interpreting key performance measures and trends in data sets.


• Leverage Power BI (and other data visualization tools) to build and maintain custom reports and dashboards to reveal trends and correlations in large data sets.


• Implement row level security in the Power BI (and other data visualization tools) to enable secured viewing of the reports for designated job levels.


• Capable of building dashboards for different audiences from entry level personnel to senior leadership


• Use advanced SQL skills to provide data extracts as needed, as well as find usable information in transactional and dimensional data sources


• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand the data needs to execute department and enterprise-wide strategic objectives and initiatives


• Identify and communicate any data-related issues and recommendations to the business owner, manager, and the team.


• Transform data and analysis into informative data visualizations and interactive dashboards to increase the visibility of key metrics.


• Assist in maintaining data lineage allowing users to trace data reliably to the point of origin and pinpoint any quality problems in the data pipelines.


• Use your good communication, presentation, and articulation skills in both verbal and non-verbal communication


• Should be able to work under Data protection protocol and policies.
  
  Relevant data analysis experience using any of these tools Power BI, Tableau, Data Studio Snowflake, R and SQL.


• Experience with SQL Server database including SQL Scripts, Triggers, Views, SSRS, SSIS and analyze database structure.


• Ability to apply data analysis strategies and frameworks in appropriate contexts.


• Experience with data security and data access controls and design


• Experience with SQL, P/SQL, databases, integration, master data management, quality assurance, data wrangling, and data governance technologies


• Experience with SQL and NoSQL Databases such as Oracle, MS SQL Server, Mongo DB ,etc.,


• Should be able to do exploratory data analytics. Good hands-on with Excel and some Python, Azure Data Bricks, Azure Synapse, Azure Data Factory and Azure Data Lake, Collibra is good to have.


• Good understanding of databases, data warehousing, cloud environment (AWS/Azure), data architecture, and ETL


• Excellent written and oral communication skills.


• Have a demonstrated passion and curiosity to investigate technology and acquire new skills.
