As a Technical Analyst, you'll play a critical role in analysing our data and processes and driving strategic initiatives that enhance our efficiency and overall performance. You'll ensure that all projects are delivered on time and in budget.

You'll also be a fantastic communicator, ready to liaise with a range of people from internal teams to external Business Partners, and strike up positive relationships with your manager, who will rely on your knowledge and expertise to make well-informed business decisions.

The Customer Insights Team are responsible for the customer definition, providing customer analysis, reporting and insight, whilst promoting a data driven culture. Ensuring the business has the data to support their decision making.

Putting the customer at the heart of our decision making is a central pillar in the Aldi strategy and building this customer knowledge is an essential component to developing the long-term business success.

As a Customer Insight Analyst, you will use your experience to build and understand customer profiles using data-driven methodologies, champion the customer view, and providing valuable insights to boost our customers' experiences with Aldi. The successful candidate with champion the identification of the customer and the value the understanding brings to the wider business

You'll also be a fantastic communicator, ready to liaise with a range of people from internal teams to external Business Partners, and strike up positive relationships with your manager, who will rely on your knowledge and expertise to make well-informed business decisions.,

  • Producing Customer 360 degree view, through CDP solutions, enabling ALDI to understand their customer and their needs, in order to drive the right change business wide using data

  • Analysis of Adobe Analytics data via the platform, or through CDP aggregated with other data

  • Analysis and insight driven from customer data for customer segmentation, supporting marketing departments to deliver a more personalised customer experience

  • Deliver insight to management across the business on who ALDI customers are and how you can engage them

  • Lead & deliver in-house qualitative & quantitative research studies

  • Procure and manage external third party and agency customer research

  • Proactively identify opportunities to add additional value through understanding the customer


  • Presenting & Promoting
  • Drive the continuous improvement of analytics capabilities within the business

  • Proactively driving change through the business based on consumer needs through research and customer understanding

  • Champion holistically understanding the ALDI customer.


  • Collaboration
  • Collaboration Nationally and Internationally with other Insight and Research Teams to drive best practice

  • Support other CI Department management teams in understanding the ALDI customer, to better serve them through their channels

  • Work collaboratively with other departments who manage data or have data requirements, to support them in achieving their objectives

  • Work in monthly sprints, self-managing capacity and prioritisation using JIRA software

    You'll need to keep calm under pressure and have excellent communication and organisational skills. In true Aldi style, you'll have plenty of freedom to use your initiative and drive change.


  • This role requires a candidate who has experience working in a Customer Insight capacity, either directly for a large retailer or through agency. The ideal candidate will have experience producing customer personas and profiles by aggregating business data such as Adobe Analytics behaviour data and transactional data.,
  • Previous experience of working in an Insight, Research, or Customer Analytics role or through agency

  • Previous experience working with Web Analytics such as Google Analytics or Adobe Analytics, utilising data to understand customers for segmentation purposes Adobe Analytics for customer segmentation purposes

  • Strong communication and organisational skills, and high attention to detail

  • The ability to collaborate with the business teams to understand their priorities to help identify and deliver solutions in a timely fashion

  • Ability to proactively work towards challenging deadlines through multitasking and resilience

  • Ability to naturally develop relationships, communicate, engage and influence at all levels

  • Good understanding and experience of research techniques and methodologies

  • Advanced excel skills, experience working with and analysing data

  • Experience working in Tableau or similar BI tool.

  • Good knowledge of customer analytics and KPI's such as CLV, retention and loyalty

  • Customer Data Platform (CDP) experience

  • Experience working in a data or analytical function for a multi- or omni-channel retailer.

    Salary starting from £52,985 rising to £61,030

  • Monday to Friday, 8am to 4:30pm, with the opportunity of 2 days a week remote working
