Full Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Information Systems team as a Business Intelligence Analyst, based at our head office in Gainsborough, Lincolnshire. The role is to gather, interpret and use complex data to develop actionable steps and solutions that will improve processes and optimise results in all areas of the organisation. Whilst working to empower end users with dynamic access to the information they require, work with business users to gather and document requirements for both new and existing reporting solutions and collaborate with our European and global data and technology teams to provide answers to business questions.,

  • To model and interpret complex data to deliver actionable insights and steps.


  • Produce analysis and documentation using a variety of tools to uncover answers to both pre-set and undefined questions around company processes, policies, and operations.


  • To identify business trends and compile analysis reports that are delivered to key stakeholders.


  • Provision of routine and ad hoc reports as requested by all levels of management.


  • Going out to the business and elicit requirements from stakeholders, then deliver reporting solutions based on these using appropriate tools.


  • Learning and fully understanding the data landscape in databases and applications.


  • Continually add to personal knowledge of the reporting tools and query techniques.


  • Assist in investigating company systems to identify improvements.


  • Create and maintain data solutions for data collection processes.


  • As part of the IT/ IS team, maintain the integrity and security of company systems and data.

    Degree level education in a related discipline or relevant experience


  • Two years previous experience as an Analyst or similar


  • Personal qualities and skills:
  • A high level of numeracy and the ability to apply statistical and analytical techniques.


  • A clear understanding of, and commitment to, handling sensitive data confidentially.


  • Understanding of relational databases, SQL and reporting software and ETL process


  • Be self-motivated and flexible, with good personal organisation.


  • Ability to work to deadlines, individually or as a team.
