We're currently looking to hire an Application Support Analyst to join our growing team.
You'll be responsible for:

  • Working actively with team members to analyse and resolve application issues

  • Identifying defects, discrepancies, and trends by ways of code debugging or log analysis

  • Managing incidents and effectively communicating with users, application owners and senior stakeholders across all areas

  • Improving application stability and performance by observing patterns, recurring failures and/or issues, and advising application owners on permanent fixes

  • Adopting various tools developed by a client's team to automate failures using machine learning techniques and notifying discrepancies in the health of production and automation of health-restoration, with a focus on continuous measurement of risk and cost.

  • Identifying alerts / processes that can be automated and then working with the client's team in automating them

  • Challenging existing application setup, processing and suggesting different ways to solve problems or improve stability

  • Actively participating in change management processes with a view to managing risk in the production environment

  • Building and improving run books for generalists to minimise operational errors and gain fungibility/efficiency

  • Developing reports that provide trending statistics to track and manage application health and supporting service performance

    Are you self-motivated with an innovative mind, a passion for technology, and a good understanding of object orientated development?, A knowledge of Data Structures in practical use cases

  • Experience of problem solving in a development or production environment, including experience observing patterns, analysing root cause and suggesting ideas to resolve issues

  • Good communication skills with the ability to articulate the technical and functional aspects of a development/production problem to help drive solutions

  • Experience in one of the following structured or Object-Oriented programming languages: Java, Python

  • Experience in one of the following Scripting languages: Shell script, Perl, JavaScript or Python

  • Experience in one of the following RDBMS environments: Sybase ASE/IQ, Oracle or DB2


  • It would be great if you have:
  • Experience in Cluster Computing and Big Data solutions: Spark, Hadoop, HDSF, XRS using public cloud
