Full Job Description

Covent Garden Dragon Hall Trust (CGDHT) is seeking a skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as the Lead Worker for our 3 weekly After School Clubs plus our Half Term & Holiday programmes, for children and young people aged 8 to 11 years old. In this role, you will lead, develop and deliver work which enables children and young people to develop new skills, gain new experiences and make new friends.

In doing so, CGDHT provides opportunities for social, educational, recreational and employment activities developed for & by the members of our diverse communities, especially those at-risk/ experiencing social exclusion & isolation.

Term time and holiday hours (holiday hours subject to change based on needs)
Contract

Fixed term for 12 months for 16 hours per week (with a 3 month probationary period)

Main purpose & scope of the Post
To build on our existing term-time after school clubs and half term/ holiday provision to deliver high quality and impactful play work programmes for children and young people aged 8 to 11 years old;
To safeguard the welfare of children and young people who access CGDHT's after school clubs/ holiday programmes;
To support the personal, social and emotional development of children and young people;
To monitor and evaluate the impact of our after school clubs/ holiday programmes, in-line with requirements from our Trustees, funders and partners;
To lead, inspire and support a team of play workers, volunteers, tutors etc to a) deliver high quality play work and b) develop their own practice.
