Full Job Description

Integration of systems to be performed on wing, empennage, and boom structures of eVTOL.
Act as Supplier Project Manager and responsible for routine progress updates.
Design engineering using Catia CPD to support definition of composite demonstrators of Composite formed parts like spars, spar tool design, AFP design and RTM products, up to TRL-6.
Design of structural detail parts, assemblies as necessary for supporting systems integration.
Each task will require coordination between internal, Structures and Electrical Wiring Interconnect Systems (EWIS), teams as well as external customer and partner stakeholders to gather necessary information to complete their tasks.
Creating the digital mock-up (DMU) with standard parts (click bonds etc.), as well as any designed brackets and supports that may be necessary.
Attending all key meetings and design reviews on-site is a must, although an element of hybrid working between office and Supplier sites is acceptable.
Self-motivated and must be reactive and versatile to meet technology team lead requirements.
Manage the execution of the work packages identified and ensure the convergence of the delivery plans with customer requirements.
Optimise the design solutions, based on the correct balance of cost, quality, manufacturability, serviceability and performance.
To communicate effectively with co-worker, customer and suppliers.
Design for cost/manufacture services.
Delivery and installation strategies, installation designs (red/green drawings), mod packs for installing hardware products onto platforms.
Basic design changes (Notes, standard parts in models etc.) in metallic detail parts and assemblies within CATIA.
Qualification & Skills

Degree level or equivalent in Aeronautical or Mechanical Engineering preferred, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in Design Integration and Supplier Management for Composite and/or metallic components.

Essential skills:

Excellent knowledge of Aircraft Structures.
Demonstrated experience in engineering design for conventional and out-of-autoclave manufacturing methods.
Composite Product Design (CPD).
Engineering to GKN design standards and requirements.
Generate DFM datasets.
Generate compensated tooling surfaces.
Support to tooling suppliers.
Provide engineering support to manufacturing teams as required.
Provide post manufacture product engineering assessment.
Experience with GD&T.
Good knowledge of Microsoft office.
Customer focused/Ability to establish credibility with internal and external customers.
Understanding of processes: ECRs, Concessions.
Awareness of A/C industry standards, regulations and qualification requirements.
Good English verbal and written communication skills.
Able to work to tight, demanding deadlines and customer demands.
Ability to work effectively within an integrated project team.
