Full Job Description

  • Oversee and deliver training to an age group at our Dunmow, Epping, Chelmsford, Braintree and Bishop's Stortford Development Centres, and our Advanced Academy.


  • Run/host fixtures when required (opportunity to become and lead coach for one of the JPL teams from 2024/25 season).


  • Write player reports and goal set for individual players for Development Centre players.

  • If possible, coach at one of our holiday courses during school holidays (to be discussed at interview stage).


  • Liaise directly and build close relationships with grassroots clubs locally and on a wider scale.

    2+ years of coaching experience (experience within a professional club desirable) Minimum level 1 in football coaching (UEFA C/Level 2 desirable)


  • Ambitious and proactive in personal development


  • Excellent communication - written and verbal


  • Ability to work to deadlines and deliver under pressure


  • Able to manage time to an excellent standard


  • Ability to work across multiple teams of people, Recognising and analysing players' strengths and weaknesses and be able to write high-level player reports with goal-sets for individual players., Sports coaching: 1 year (preferred)

    • M.R.F.A. is a football academy, providing elite football coaching to aspiring players aged between two and 18.

    Set up in 2013, M.R.F.A. now operates with eight primary and secondary schools in Essex and Hertfordshire where we cover a wide range of sport clubs and P.E. lessons.

    • Epping Development Centre 18:00-19:00
  • Tuesday - Bishop's Stortford Development Centre 18:00-19:00


    • Dunmow Girls Development Centre 18:00-19:00
  • Wednesday - Braintree Development Centre 17:00-18:00


    • Chelmsford Development Centre 17:45-19:00
  • Thursday - Chelmsford Girls Development Centre 18:00-19:00


  • Saturday - Epping Youth FC at Epping St Johns 09:00-12:00


    • We also run technical development coaching (Development Groups) and higher tier coaching to elite players who hold potential to be in a professional club (Advanced Academy).

    Outside of this, M.R.F.A. run holiday courses at three locations in Essex every half-term and offer extra incentives such as birthday parties, 1:1 coaching sessions and Pre-Academy classes for our younger stars

    Proactive approach to coaching/teaching and developing young players.

    Understanding M.R.F.A.'s business as a whole, particularly your area of specialty.

    Confident in developing strong relationships with parents and teachers/schools and local grassroots clubs in promoting M.R.F.A.'s business.
